Editing Time!

Hey, guys welcome back to my blog!

After brainstorming, planning, and filming the time is finally here let's talk editing. I made sure to get all of the clips into one location. To me the most important thing while editing is an organization, without it editing is ten times harder. So I download the clips onto my computer and put them in a folder dedicated to the music video. My next step is creating subfolders for different scenes and clips. We have to make sure that each clip is of good quality. This means making sure the lighting looks good this is especially important when shooting outside with natural lighting. You also have to look at the clarity of the footage. Another good thing to check for is that the footage doesn't cut anything out such as legs or hands unless it's done purposefully. I use Imovie when editing my video its the easiest software and it works perfectly. I have to start by picking our favorite shot of each scene. Then I export those scenes in order. Finally, I crop and edit individual shots if needed and merge them into one. I also tie in any scenic shots to help the story flow better. Once these steps are complete and my video is fully edited with the clips the last thing I do is add the music and sync it. THAT'S A WRAP, GUYS!!!
