Let Regroup and Review!

 Hey, guys welcome back to my blog.
As you know my group is preparing to film our final task movie and it's been an exciting, yet challenging experience. I think I have given you guys a lot of information so, in this blog we are going to review what has happened so far. Finding the right actors for our movie is crucial to the success of our project, but it's been a bit tough finding people available. We have a clear vision of the characters and how we want them to portray their character, which means we want to find the right person. Ensuring that our actors are available during the entire shooting schedule is a bigger challenge than anticipated but my group has finally come to a solution. Moving on to choosing the right costumes is essential to bring the characters to life. My group wants to ensure that the costumes are practical for the actors can act comfortably. It is time to prepare to start filming we want to make sure the camera captures the essence of the story and characters. We plan to play around with different camera angles and shots to create a unique visual style. My group wants the lighting to add to our desired mood and atmosphere. We chose a location that we feel will enhance the story and add to the visual appeal of the movie. We are updating a shooting schedule that accommodates the availability of the actors. We have created a storyboard to visualize the story and plan out our shots. My partner and I know and understand our specific roles and responsibilities as we move forward with this project. We also prepare to take our movies to the next level after filming, with our editing. We look forward to adding music, transitions, and much more to take my movie to the next level. First Scene- In the first scene, a couple is madly in love. They have just came off of a date and the girl has a rose in her hand given to her by her significant other. They are walking holding hands down the pathway.  Second Scene- In the second scene, the significant other breaks up with the girl. This absolutely crushes her and she becomes very emotional. 1. How does your product use or  challenge conventions AND how does it  represent social groups or issues?   My music video challenge convention’s because we worked with what we had are video used a local park instead of any fancy sets and my iPhone camera instead of anything fancy. Our props were all objects we had already owned. My video showed a biracial couple which isn’t always represented in the media. Also shows how jumping to conclusions isn’t always the answer our video shows the girlfriend upset cause she thinks the boyfriend is cheating. Genre Decision Blog

 Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog, today I wanted to share with you my group's decision on what genre our final task will be.  The first genre we considered was a comedic genre and this was a genre we spent a lot of time looking at. When looking at it, we liked how comedy and comedic decision is spread throughout the entire media,  for example, you have the comedic and goofy movements with the camera shaking and going upside down. As we reviewed it more, our thoughts changed about the props and we originally didn't like the use of props but as we reviewed we began to see the comedic purposes that props play and that purpose,  it can be the actor using it to do something silly or really anything, and we also liked how we would use diegetic sound like laughing to get the genre across even more.
