Save the Date!

 Hey, guys welcome back to my blog.

We finally have a date set to film our final task!! After all of the scheduling conflicts, we have finally decided on a date, which is relieving. April 6th, 2023 is the big day for our group and it is fastly approaching. Now that the date is set, we can focus on finalizing everything from our shoot. We have to confirm that all the actors are available on our scheduled date and while they have already agreed we plan to confirm closer to our date. We have communicated with everyone to make sure everyone can make it that day. We created a filming schedule to maximize productivity and efficiency In this schedule we allocated time for running through/ practice shots. We planned enough time to take breaks if we or the actors need it and also will have physical scripts on hand if the actor was to need to look at them in between shots. Next Tuesday and Wednesday I will confirm shooting times and locations with everybody. I plan to also make sure my group has prepped and packed anything we may need during filming. Living in South Florida another challenge we face with our filming location is whether our video needs to take place at night and outside in certain shops. This ultimately means that we have to stay up to date with the weather forecast if it's raining us, unfortunately, may need to move the date to the following day. While we hope this doesn't happen part of good preparation is planning for the unprepared. My group plans to visit our location prior to filming to ensure we have any permission we may need to film at our location. This will likely mean talking to establishments to make sure we don't get in trouble for filming. We also should make sure to remind security and establishments the day we film to avoid any issues. Now, this is the fun part the countdown begins. Our planned date is only one week away, which means it's time to buckle down and get ready. My group is going to verify costumes, script, and any other materials we may need the day of. Thank you guys for reading see you soon!

1. How does your product use or  challenge conventions AND how does it  represent social groups or issues?   My music video challenge convention’s because we worked with what we had are video used a local park instead of any fancy sets and my iPhone camera instead of anything fancy. Our props were all objects we had already owned. My video showed a biracial couple which isn’t always represented in the media. Also shows how jumping to conclusions isn’t always the answer our video shows the girlfriend upset cause she thinks the boyfriend is cheating. Genre Decision Blog

 Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog, today I wanted to share with you my group's decision on what genre our final task will be.  The first genre we considered was a comedic genre and this was a genre we spent a lot of time looking at. When looking at it, we liked how comedy and comedic decision is spread throughout the entire media,  for example, you have the comedic and goofy movements with the camera shaking and going upside down. As we reviewed it more, our thoughts changed about the props and we originally didn't like the use of props but as we reviewed we began to see the comedic purposes that props play and that purpose,  it can be the actor using it to do something silly or really anything, and we also liked how we would use diegetic sound like laughing to get the genre across even more.
