Today is the Day!

 Welcome back to my blog guys! Today is a super important day in our process it is the day we finally get to film our movie. I have been talking and anticipating this day for so long and it is finally here. Filming days are normally are like roller coasters they are full of highs and lows.  They are normally jam pack, a bit stressful, and nerve racking. Today I had to wake up at 6:00am for school and had a full day of school until 2:40pm. I went to work after until 5pm and didn't get home till 5:30pm. Then I had a zoom until 6:45pm and then it was time to get ready. I grabbed my costume that I laid out last night and quickly changed. It being evening time wasn't truly a problem since our movie took place at night. After I put my costume on I grabbed my keys and our backpack of proms and equipment and headed out the door. I had to pick up two of the crew members so I headed to their houses to pick them both up then we left to the mall to meet our final crew member. We of course had a plan and vision for our movie planned but we had to adapt a bit due to the amount of mall traffic. So we scouted the area to see what would work best. We found a store that was relevantly empty for the shopping scene. We decided to do this to avoid disruptions and noise. We got straight to filming, we decided to just start filming. Rather than practicing a hundred times we got straight to filming in order get content and see what we were liking. Once we got into the flow it was pretty good,  begot to get the party going, rapping it up pretty quickly, but efficiently.

1. How does your product use or  challenge conventions AND how does it  represent social groups or issues?   My music video challenge convention’s because we worked with what we had are video used a local park instead of any fancy sets and my iPhone camera instead of anything fancy. Our props were all objects we had already owned. My video showed a biracial couple which isn’t always represented in the media. Also shows how jumping to conclusions isn’t always the answer our video shows the girlfriend upset cause she thinks the boyfriend is cheating. Genre Decision Blog

 Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog, today I wanted to share with you my group's decision on what genre our final task will be.  The first genre we considered was a comedic genre and this was a genre we spent a lot of time looking at. When looking at it, we liked how comedy and comedic decision is spread throughout the entire media,  for example, you have the comedic and goofy movements with the camera shaking and going upside down. As we reviewed it more, our thoughts changed about the props and we originally didn't like the use of props but as we reviewed we began to see the comedic purposes that props play and that purpose,  it can be the actor using it to do something silly or really anything, and we also liked how we would use diegetic sound like laughing to get the genre across even more.
